The surface of the supperparamagnetic Fe3O4 nanoparticles is covalently functionalized with Protein A, and can be used to bind IgG antibodies to the particle surface.
Protein A coupled magnetic nanoparticles can be used in the industry of immunoprecipitation, antibody purification.
